This editorial aimed to celebrate the conversation between fashion design and Afro culture. Through the work of five Dakar-based designers, we want to highlight the possibilities and resources we have by using a local approach.

Byoo Tee Ñuul is about following Alima, Pape and Malick in the city of Dakar, through its seaside, markets, streets and cab culture.
Byoo Tee Ñuul is about embracing the fashion aesthetic and craft of Senegalese culture.

This editorial aimed to celebrate the conversation between fashion design and Afro culture. Through the work of five Dakar-based designers, we want to highlight the possibilities and resources we have by using a local approach. The editorial is exploring the blend of traditional and contemporary visions and practices. Byoo Tee Ñuul aimed to communicate the beauty of Senegalese culture. Beyond the Senegalese borders, we want to inspire other Afro cultures to search into their own experiences and resources to create.
